I was four years old when I found myself staring with naive curiosity at the guts of our first family computer. While my brother made a fuss about the Pentium II processor's maximum clock rates, I looked in amazement at the box of wires, barely resisting the urge to pull them apart and divine just how this machine was capable of letting me play Pokemon for hours on end. I can not remember a time in my life that was not filled with an obsession for computers and technology, but instances like these planted the seeds of my passion. Fundamentally, I still feel like that child today - consistently amazed by the inexorable march of technology, and constantly yearning to play my part in it.
